Tree Trimming Notice

 The City of Roland will be checking for compliance concerning trees hanging over sidewalks, streets and alleys during the week of September 13, 2010.  Tree branches that overhang the sidewalk are required to be trimmed to a minimum of 8 feet above the sidewalk, and the branches that overhang the street and alley are required to be trimmed to a minimum of 15 feet above the sidewalk or alley.  Bushes are to be trimmed back to 5 feet.

 If your tree branches or bushes are found to be in violation of the height requirements, you will be sent a notice giving you one week to trim the branches.  If upon the second recheck, the trees have not been trimmed to the above mentioned heights, the City will trim them and the cost will be assessed against the property.
