ORDINANCE NO.  59

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ROLAND, IOWA, 2003 BY AMENDING CHAPTER 106.08(1), PERTAINING TO SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FEES.

 Be in enacted by the City Council of the City of Roland, Iowa:

        SECTION 1.  SECTION MODIFIED.  Chapter 106, section 08, Paragraph 1, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Roland, Iowa, 2003, is repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:

      1.  Fee for Collection.  The fee for solid waste collection and disposal service, used or available, is $14.25 per residential premises.

     SECTION 2.  SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

      SECTION 3.  WHEN EFFECTIVE.  This ordinance shall be effective beginning August 1, 2008

  Passed by the Council the 14^th day of July, 2008 and approved the 14^th day of July, 2008.
